Weddings

Wedding flowers are the largest part of what we do.
We start with a conversation, either at the workshop or over a video call, whichever suits you. We'll ask about your venue, your date, your colours and the feeling you want on the day, whether that's loose and garden-gathered, structured and formal, or something else entirely. Bring photographs, fabric swatches, a dress sketch, a Pinterest board, or nothing at all. Some couples arrive knowing exactly what they want; plenty have no idea beyond a colour they like, and that's a perfectly good starting point. From there we'll put together a proposal with a full costing, so you can see where the money is going before you commit to anything. We'll tell you honestly where to spend and where to save; including suggestions on how to repurpose your floral arrangements throughout your day, and seasonal alternatives that give you the same look for less.

What we make

Bridal bouquets, bridesmaids’ posies, flower girl baskets, and buttonholes. For the ceremony: aisle designs, pedestals, arches, pew ends, and flowers for the registrar or signing table. For the reception: top table arrangements, guest table centres, and bud vases, along with welcome and bar designs, staircase and fireplace dressing installations.

We can provide the containers to display and store the flowers and venue decoration; vases, lanterns, candles etc which usually costs less than buying and leaves you with nothing to store afterwards. Prefer to source your own vases? That’s absolutely fine, just get them to us in good time and we’ll do the rest.

Bud vase keepsakes

We also offer our bespoke package of bud vases which are available for delivery or for collection from the workshop if you’d rather arrange them yourself. This doesn’t have to be linked with a bigger wedding package and is perfect for more DIY and lower key weddings. Bud vases are a simple, beautiful way to dress your tables, which are very impactful. We put together a collection of bud vases in mixed shapes and heights, each with a small arrangement of two or three stems, grouped in clusters down the centre of your tables. The look is relaxed and unfussy, works well with candles, and costs considerably less than full table centres without the tables looking bare.

The vases are yours to keep. You can keep them to take back home or some couples send them home with family and friends, so guests leave with a few stems and something to put them in, and nothing goes in the bin the next morning. We’ll choose the vases to suit your flowers and your venue, whether that’s clear or coloured glass. Tell us your table count and we’ll work out the numbers with you. Please just let us know your table plan in advance.

Seasonality

We work with what’s at its best on your date. Peonies and ranunculus in spring/early summer, roses, delphiniums, sweet peas throughout summer, dahlias and hydrangeas through late summer and autumn, hellebores and amaryllis in winter. If you have your heart set on a flower that’s out of season we’ll say so early, and if preferred we will endeavour to find you an alternative option that carries the same feeling to be more cost effective.

Between booking and the day

We hold your date with a 20% deposit, and the balance isn’t due until 6-weeks before. We’ll check in as the date approaches, and about six weeks out we’ll go through everything again: final numbers, table counts, any changes to the running order. Guest lists shift and plans change, and that’s expected. We’d far rather adjust than have you worry about it. We will also contact the venue to have a more detailed review of the room and find out where the arrangements will actually be displayed.

On the day

We deliver bouquets in water and buttonholes to you while you’re getting ready, with a quick word on how to hold them so they photograph well. We then dress the venue ourselves. If your ceremony and reception are in the same room, we’ll come back during the drinks/canapes to move the ceremony flowers onto the tables, so nothing is wasted and you get two uses from the same stems. We clear our vases and hire pieces the following day, by arrangement with your venue. We’re used to working alongside venue coordinators, planners, photographers etc, and we’re happy to liaise with them directly so you’re not passing messages back and forth.
